Jacob Popuna was appointed the Public Curator and Official Trustee of PNG in 2013 with a contract of five-year term in office.

Mr Popuna joined the Department of Justice & Attorney General in 2007 as Principal Legal Officer within the Office of the Public Curator & Official Trustee.

Prior to that, Mr Popuna worked with the Western Highlands Provincial Government and also with previous members of Parliament from Mt Hagen.

He is a Member of the PNG Law Society, Member of the Gideon’s International Bible Society and Member of the Coffee Growers Association.

Mr Popuna has a law degree from University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) and hails from Western Highlands province.

Dr. Eric Kwa

Dr. Eric Kwa was appointed Secretary of the Department of Justice and Attorney General of Papua New Guinea on the 12^th of November, 2018. He was formerly the Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Papua New Guinea Constitutional and Law Reform Commission (CL&RC), a position he held for 7 years.

Prior to his posting as Secretary for CL&RC, he was a Professor of Law at the University of Papua New Guinea and a former Dean of the Law School.

Dr. Kwa holds a PhD in Environmental Law from the Auckland University, New Zealand. He also has a Master of Laws with Honors (LLM (Hon)) in Environmental Law from Wollongong University, Australia and Law Degree with Honors (LLB (Hon)) from the University of Papua New Guinea. ...
