Dr. Eric Kwa was appointed Secretary of the Department of Justice and Attorney General of Papua New Guinea on the 12th of November, 2018. He was formerly the Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Papua New Guinea Constitutional and Law Reform Commission (CL&RC), a position he held for 7 years.
Prior to his posting as Secretary for CL&RC, he was a Professor of Law at the University of Papua New Guinea and a former Dean of the Law School.
Dr. Kwa holds a PhD in Environmental Law from the Auckland University, New Zealand. He also has a Master of Laws with Honors (LLM (Hon)) in Environmental Law from Wollongong University, Australia and Law Degree with Honors (LLB (Hon)) from the University of Papua New Guinea. ...
